Close your eyes and think about the fact that memory involves sitting on the porch or balcony. Were you in the mountain cabin? Condo on the beach? Friends at home?
Most likely, your memory will lead you to a place of rest. I want to share with you ways to make your own porch and a memorable holiday.
Porches were originally built for practical purposes. They’re all out of direct sunlight entering the house during the hot summer days and protected the house from the elements during the winter. It was not long before the tenants saw this area, and expand their living space. This was the place to read, eat and even sleep on hot nights. My own memories is to use a wrap around porch of my grandmother put on a show with my cousins. We did not need an audience, we just needed time.

My porch for eating and rest three seasons, but in winter I change the focus to a winter wonderland. I use decorative snowmen, table tree, and stuffed animals to brighten the area. Strands of lights to bring a bit of magic in the gray winter months. At this time of year I do not outside on the porch a lot, but it is interesting to see it from my kitchen. When the weather warms up, all updated with green healthy plants, bright pillows and recently set table. He calls me to go out and enjoy!

2. Installing a ceiling fan can bring estimated wind stifling night.
